Volunteer and Fundraising Agreement

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY — VOLUNTEER & FUNDRAISING AGREEMENT

By registering my child(ren) with the Spruce Grove Barracudas Swim Club, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

Parent/Guardian Certification

By registering my child(ren) with the Spruce Grove Barracudas Swim Club, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of the athlete(s) listed and that I understand and agree to the volunteer and fundraising requirements outlined below.

1. VOLUNTEER COMMITMENT

Volunteer commitment is per swimmer and required for all registered athletes, regardless of age.

Volunteer Participation Requirement

This club and all activities, including swim meets, operate through the support of volunteers. It is imperative that every family actively participates in supporting club events and all swim meets to ensure these activities can continue. If your swimmer(s) attends swim meets, it is understood that you will volunteer at a minimum of 50% of the meets attended.

It is not the responsibility of other parents to provide a competitive environment for your swimmer; rather, it is a collective responsibility shared by all families to support all swimmers.

Volunteer Points Required Per Family
Volunteer points are earned in increments of ½-day sessions (~4 hours). Point values and associated roles are available on the website under fundraising requirements.

• First swimmer: 12 points 
  • Exception: Families whose swimmers attend only the home meet are required to complete 6 points
• Each additional swimmer: +3 points 
• A valid credit card on file is required for the 2026 season.
• Each swimmer must earn a minimum of 2 points at the Home Meet, 2 points at the Casino, 2 points at Regionals (if attending). If a swimmer does not attend Regionals, those points may be earned at regular meets.

Volunteer Fee for Unfulfilled Points

• Families will be charged $50 per uncompleted point, $150 per uncompleted casino point. Any outstanding volunteer point fees will be processed on August 30, 2026, Sept 08, 2026 for Casino points.

2. FUNDRAISING COMMITMENT

Fundraising supports the overall operations of the Spruce Grove Barracudas Swim Club and helps reduce program costs for all families. All funds raised are deposited into the general operating account and do not benefit any individual swimmer directly.

a) Bingos (Optional)

• Families receive a $150 credit toward registration fees for each Bingo worked.
• Maximum: 3 Bingos per swimmer (March 01, 2026 – February 28, 2027).
• Active Board of Directors members receive 2 Bingo credits for fulfilling their board role.
• Refunds for eligible Bingo credits (if completed after registration fees are paid) will be processed within 7 days of the Bingo shift.
• Credits may only be applied to AGLC-approved expenses within the registration fee.

b) Casino (Mandatory)

• Each family must earn a minimum of 2 points from Casino shifts to satisfy part of their volunteer commitment.
• Families will be charged $150 per uncompleted casino point and will be processed on Sept 08, 2026 for Casino points.
• If no Casino shifts are available, the Club will provide a reasonable alternative. Email volunteers@sgbarracudas.ca to make arrangements prior to July 1st, 2026. 

c) Cuda-Thon (Optional)

• All money collected during the Cuda-Thon must be submitted to the Treasurer by the posted deadline.

Acknowledgment and Agreement

By submitting this form online, I agree that:

• I have read and understand the volunteer and fundraising requirements.
• I am responsible for ensuring that my family completes the required volunteer points.
• I authorize applicable volunteer fees to be charged to my credit card if commitments are not fulfilled.
• I understand that fundraising credits are applied according to Club and AGLC regulations.
• I agree that my electronic signature has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature.
